About Bernard Beneito
Beneito was born and raised in Algeria leaving in 1962.
Uprooted, he lived in different countries before to settle in California in 1996.
Painting only with a Palette knife, artist Beneito’s paintings are playfully characterized by effervescent imagery, cool simplicity and wonderfully earnest emotions. His stunning works are entrancingly graceful, alluringly rich in detail and his controlled technique allows him to capture thought and emotion. Affectionately welcoming the spontaneous Beneito creates works of art which radiate with an identity unto themselves. He centers his spectacular creations on the bold movements of bodies, compelling facial expressions, and captivating instants of excitement, which provide his work with a dynamic, fun and exhilarating style. Beneito has a keen eye for color and a wonderful sense of composition.
Beneito has shared his passion for pictorial art, participating in many individual and some collective exhibitions in Europe, French Guyana, Ecuador, Caribbean Islands, USA, Canada.. Combining creation and teaching (owns La Maison des Artistes Palo Alto Ca), 1st prizewinner, category oil and acrylic from the Triton Museum Santa Clara California 1999, Academic Knight from the International Greci Marino Order in Italy 2003. Listed in The Who’s Who International Art in 2005, his name is confirmed in the very important Art History reference book, collection of prestige, Masters and Epigones published by the Editions Renaissance Quebec Canada October 2007
Interviewed many times for different magazines, his works are held in private collections in Europe, Canada, USA, the Caribbean, Lebanon, Africa and Tahiti.
