I am a Mixed Media Artist, working at various times with a combination of Acrylic paints, Watercolor, Photography, Oil Paints and digital mediums in combination to explore new media imagery. My work can be seen at the Alameda Artworks Studios in San Jose and at selective galleries and shows in the greater South Bay Area and in San Francisco.
I have been showing and selling my art in California galleries since 1976 in San Diego, at San Diego State University while working on my BFA in graduate school, as Deanna Denby Dean. Additionally, since moving and working in the Bay Area, I have shown my work in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco and this year in Seattle as Deanna Denby Beye.
Permanent collections include Nektor Corporation at the Campus of UC San Francisco and The Collection of the Larry Miller family of La Jolla, California. My One Person shows have been sponsored by Travelocity (Formally of Classic Travels 1998), SoCAL Industries 2001, and in May for the 2013 Seattle Artwalk, Greenley District, PC Art & Music Festival.
I teach Mixed Media and have developed art curriculum for Art Symbols & Vision and Art Gallery Management for Watterson Colleges as the Director of Graphic Arts and later as the Director of Education. For Masters Institute, I taught Multimedia Business Applications and wrote curriculum for the Animation and Video Department.
