My love of art started at a young age. At eight years old, I took classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art. By sixteen, I was teaching art at the large local YMCA. I have a BA and MA in art education. Over many years, I have taught art, in many media, for all ages, from young children to high school to senior citizens. I teach drawing, painting in watercolor, acrylic, oil and mixed media, collage and art to wear. I currently teach at the Pacific Art League, and Palo Alto Adult Ed, as well as private lessons and workshops.
I am on the Board of Silicon Valley Visual Arts and Silicon Valley Open Studios. I am an active member of the Pacific Art League, The Los Altos Art Club and The Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society as well as several other art groups.
My styles vary as widely as the media I use, and I draw inspiration from everything around me. Exploring colors is a dominate theme. My art works vary from serene landscapes to playful twists on a theme (like unexpected puns) to colorful abstract acrylics. I am very eclectic in my work and also enjoy doing sculpture, printmaking, jewelry and textiles.
