About Abilities United

The Art Program at Abilities United is designed to provide artists of all abilities and backgrounds access to the Bay Area art community by selling and exhibiting their work in public spaces, corporations, and art institutions. Abilities United has had exhibitions in the Children’s Discovery Museum, The Palo Alto Art Center, The Walt Disney Family Museum, Lexus, and at Linked In. Through these art exhibitions and sales, people in the community have gained a better appreciation for the achievements and talents of individuals with disabilities.

Since 2000, more than five hundred works of art have been sold through the Abilities United Art Program to people from all walks of life, including art collectors and corporate executives. With sale prices ranging from $30 to $1500, the Art Program supplements the artists’ incomes by giving them eighty percent of the profits made from art sales. The talented artists who exhibit with Abilities United work across an array of styles and media, from ceramic to aluminum foil, oil paint to watercolors.

Abilities United is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization serving over 2000 people with developmental and other disabilities and their families who live in the Bay Area.
