After years in the tech world , I shift my focus to the art world.
My work is inspired by ancient art, renaissance art, and my experiences. I use a variety of materials to create textures in my paintings. Lately, I have been experimenting with fabric and plaster.
My search for meaning and my love of color and texture motivate me to create. My inspiration comes from the life around me, Renaissance’s artists like Botticelli, old greek ceramics, and latin dancing in the Mission district in San Francisco .
My main interest is the human figure. I am fascinated by trying to capture the idea of a human being while leaving the details to the imagination.
For the last two years I have been focusing on creating mixed media art, especially with a mixture of fabric and paint. I enjoy using fabric because it allows me to create 3D effects, makes my art feel more organic, and creates a feeling of motion. I use fabric to create abstract art, often incorporated into or near a human figure.
Fabric is the medium and the subject for my last series “Fabric of life”
