Through my work I express a personal connection to an uncertain, ever changing world.
I am a process oriented artist, working in the mediums of painting, mixed media and photography, constantly exploring and developing ideas as I work. My paintings and collages are typically colorful and bold, playful and abstract. Making art allows me to feel free when everyday life is chaotic and demanding. In the studio I am able to be in the moment, finding expression, autonomy and peace, while creating something uniquely beautiful. I find inspiration in the world around me; in nature, in politics, in my travels and in the unique, vibrant culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. I hope that my work will promote lively discussion and provide a peaceful distraction from the hectic pace of modern day life.
Born in London, England, I lived and worked in France and Switzerland before emigrating to California. I hold bachelor’s degrees from Warwick University and Chichester University. Recent exhibitions include group shows at Works Gallery and “Undiscovered” a group show at The Carmen Castellano Gallery in San Jose, California. My photographs have been published in “The Bohemyth”, an online literary journal.
