Asia’s paintings explore the relationship between art and spirituality; intention and creativity; nature and the Feminine. She was introduced to painting and Intentional Creativity when she started in the M.A. in Women’s Spirituality program. During the course of her studies, she came tête-à-tête with the transformative aspects and the healing powers of Intentional Creativity. Her master’s thesis: A descent journey of reconciliation with the inner mother and revisualization of the Divine Feminine, showcased 13 of her paintings. Asia firmly believes that by bringing forth our stories, we can decide to let go of any negative impact they have on our lives, allowing us to create our future stories with intention and love.
Asia is a computer scientist (M.S. in Computer Science from UCSD) in training, and always an artist at heart. Asia pursued her artwork first in pencil drawing and Chinese Brush painting in her teenage years, and then onto Ceramics in graduate school. Later enrolled in an MFA program in Ceramics in the the late 90s, and then falling in love with the acrylics medium. Asia paints and teaches workshops, and holds a Creative Expression certificate from Sofia University.
