My subject matter centers on the personal, and the quotidian. I see my role as an artist akin to that of a witness, a recorder of experience. To that end, things that I like, or love, or find deeply meaningful—be it Indian sweets, the colors in the evening sky or, motherhood—show up in my works through the varied mediums of printmaking and painting.
I received my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle, and M.A. in Cultural Studies from the University of Washington, Bothell.
