My art is roughshod, emotional and symbolic of childhood. Reoccurring themes I have focused on are, Mythology, the beauty of women, and Ballerinas as muse and power symbol. The Dog represents the emotional and inchoate process of memory and struggle. I use Ceramics as a way of expressing those multitude of feelings and as a process of healing.
I have an MA from SJSU and have been the recipient of several awards, the Multi-Cultural Award, Renaissance Award, and a fellowship at Greenwich house,
In New York City. I have shown paintings, watercolors, Ceramics and Mixed Media throughout California, New Jersey and New York
My work has been featured in 3 Solo exhibitions in Frankfurt, Germany at the Blue House Gallery. I am currently exhibiting at the Kalied Gallery in downtown San Jose. I maintain a studio at the Citadel in San Jose where I have also had numerous Solo exhibitions and curated and installed many group shows.
