I was born in India, and grew up in Zambia Africa, a self-taught artist holding a degree in Physics and Engineering. My recent work expresses the relationships between the individual moments, that are reminiscent of the life around me. I find inspiration in fragments of nature.
Within this realm, my work varies from representational to abstract and I am continuously moving along the continuum between the two. I often find myself engaging with the canvas and exploring the erratic nature of paint, allowing me to embrace all the happy accidents.
I want my paintings to offer multiple and diverse visual confrontations, at once obvious and ambiguous. The process is free and spontaneous sometimes moving from strong geometric shapes and patterns to loose expressionistic lines and moving forms.
The works not only explores perspectives on time, place and human condition, but also changes to our environment. The works seem to reveal a moment or a place in time. Hopefully, the viewer is enticed to look, listen and find some echo of emotion or spirit reaching out to connect.
