About Henry Parada

Why wood? Wood is a material very versatile. When I can use new technology for cutting, I can get forms and sizes for making tridimensional artwork with movement illusion. Three-dimensional combined with the degradation of colors allows me to achieve dynamism in the ways and color as the viewer contemplates the paintings from different angles.
These works require the use of new technologies to make cuts in wood and achieve gradients in the shape and size of each of the pieces. Without these tools, it is impossible to perform this type of work. The machine is only the means used to obtain the required elements in each of the jobs. When I use it correctly, I can get dynamism with the forms and colors that I cannot get with traditional techniques.
