My art is roughshod, emotional and symbolic of childhood. Reoccurring themes I have focused on are, Mythology, the beauty of women, and Ballerinas as muse and power symbol. The Dog represents the emotional and inchoate process of memory and struggle. I use Ceramics as a way of expressing those multitude of feelings and as a process of healing.
I have an MA from SJSU and have been the recipient of several awards, the Multi-Cultural Award, Renaissance Award, and a fellowship at Greenwich house,
In New York City. I have shown paintings, watercolors, Ceramics and Mixed Media throughout California, New Jersey and New York
My work has been featured in Solo exhibitions in Frankfurt, Germany at the Blue House Gallery. I am currently exhibiting at the Kalied Gallery in downtown San Jose. I maintain a studio at the Citadel in San Jose where I have also had Solo exhibitions and curated and installed numerous group shows.
