Patricia K. Jones is an award-winning landscape and still life oil painter, with a strong foundation in the Russian Impressionist tradition. Using thick paint and loose brush strokes, she conveys the energy, mood and essence of everyday subjects. Upon reflection, Patricia observes “… contemplating, working on and seeing art consumes all of my waking hours. It is a passion that has completely energized my life.”
Patricia’s paintings have consistently been juried into the American Art Collector’s annual art catalogue, and for ten years in a row, have been juried into the “Best and Brightest” show at the Scottsdale Artists’ School, where she has won numerous awards, including first place!
Recently two of Patricia’s paintings were named finalists in the 2020 UArt Open and one of the paintings was awarded second place! Both paintings are on display from Oct. 17th to Nov. 1st at University Art, 2550 El Camino Real, Redwood City, California.
Patricia has studied art in France, Italy and Russia, as well as at Stanford University, the Scottsdale Artists’ School and the California Academy of Painters. Patricia is an associate member of Oil Painters of America.
Locally, seventeen of Patricia’s paintings can be seen at Richard Sumner Gallery, 628 Emerson St., Palo Alto, California and twelve paintings can be seen in the main dining room at St. Michael’s Alley, 140 Homer Ave., Palo Alto, California.
Patricia’s work is widely collected, and hangs in private collections in the U.S. and in Europe.
