My work explores the symbolic relationship between humanity and the primal forces of nature, drawing on the archetypes found in myths and fairytales. The human figures in my images point to the heroes, wanderers, and spirits of ancient stories, venturing into the wilderness—a realm often depicted as both perilous and sacred. The boundaried landscape dissolves, reflecting the enchanted forests and mystical waters where the natural world lives with meaning and intent. The use of shadows, reflections, and surreal compositions blurs the line between the human and natural realms, reminiscent of the magical realism found in mythic narratives.
Through this visual language, my work explores themes of transformation and self-discovery, where the journey through nature mirrors an inward journey through the psyche. It invites viewers to reconnect with the mythic dimension of nature, seeing it not merely as a backdrop but as an active participant in the human story—a space of encounter, danger, and transformation, where every element holds the potential for magic and deeper understanding.
