Through my acrylic and watercolor paintings of the natural world, I hope to share with you my deep-felt awe of the interplay of light, form and color. When I come upon a sunlit meadow, a bird in flight, a spectacular flower, a majestic mountain or a wave crashing upon the rocks, I am compelled to grab my camera to capture the beauty of the moment. These photos form the basis of most of my paintings.
I began this exploration 12 years ago (after a 50-year break from doing art) – first in watercolor and more recently in acrylic. I take classes in these media at the Palo Alto Art Center and Pacific Art League where some of my work has been shown.
