Artist Statement

I am an avid beachcomber, on the coast almost every day. Sea glass - trash that has been transformed into gems - is a prize. I research and write about my finds, make jewelry from them, and I paint. I take the beauty of our California coast, its native flora and fauna, and interpret it on canvas. Sea glass provides inspiration for my art - making mixed media pieces that use the glass as both an accent and focus to my creations, along with silver, raw copper, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint. The ocean and coast are my passion, and I want to share it. My work can currently be found at the Sanchez Center, as a part of the Art Guild of Pacifica, at the Ocean Blue Art Vault, Mirada Art, and at the Coastal Art League. I will have a solo show at Bamboo on Main Street Half Moon Bay in April and May 2026.
