Lee Boerger
I have always loved nature. The colors, forms, and explorations of our environment in both realistic and abstract art have been central to my art career. Botanical art came first, with detailed watercolor pieces and pen drawings. I loved the watercolor medium, and also the research. I exhibited locally and was in juried shows in several states You can find my illustrations for plant identification signs in the San Francisco Botanical Garden and at Montalvo Art Center in Saratoga, CA. My work was also exhibited several times at the San Francisco Botanical Garden Library.
I now focus fully on printmaking without a press, creating monoprints. Currently I am using reclaimed wood and making stencils to produce forms that are somewhat abstract.
