Lynn Rogers
Lynn Rogers has been invited into Who of America 2023.
Coming of age in a pivotal San Francisco Bay Area time of change I absorbed a spontaneous creative approach from encounters with older Beat era pioneers. Since then I have written 12 illustrated books, including the Born in Berkeley series, and Arcadia’s Images of America, Alviso San Jose.
I teach Creative Memoir Writing for Los Gatos Saratoga Recreation and continue to unfold as an artist. My work has been featured in diverse shows over the years. More recently in 2019 and 2022 with awards in Campbell Artist’s Guild annual show with Triton Museum judges; in 2020 And 2022, winning Special Recognition awards in Light, Space and Time International online shows; with 2021 and 2022 sales at San Jose Citadel (Human not Homeless/Seeking Shelter) and Art Ark (More the Merrier) Galleries’ juried shows, and The City of Campbell Museum 2022 (Reflections) Exhibit and collection.
I work from an expressionist perspective in mixed media (including acrylic and digital originals, and sometimes, recycled materials. A Feeling for a (sometimes marginalized) subject emerges in bold color—a Playful, Passionate and Intuitive approach.
