Wendy Lowengrub

I am an abstract artist working with mixed media, painting and drawing. I am deeply influenced by time spent in the natural and urban world. I look for similarities in line and form, including sidewalk cracks evoking mountains, bird tracks mimicking road markings, and tangled seaweed replicating capillaries. I tend to use color thematically as a way to add additional layers and abstraction. The work feels both familiar and ambiguous enabling a viewer to make their own connections and associations with the artwork.
