Mark Dobrin
I grew up in Silicon Valley when it was orchards, ranches and streams. I paint to convey something of the stillness and peace I experience as I soak in the beauty that surrounds us; especially living here on the San Francisco Peninsula.
Creation is speaking. Painting is a way of listening in on the story and capturing something of the wonder and stillness we are invited to enjoy.
My painting approach uses the delicate transparency of traditional watercolor with a more modern and accessible presentation on panels without glass.
