Elise Burrows

I grew up in Massachusetts, and lived in Vermont for many years. The Bay Area is my home since 2008.

I attended Oberlin College and The University of Vermont, with a degree in studio art and psychology.

It’s fun to be enthralled into the "zone" of creating. I also enjoy the challenge, like solving a puzzle.

Being part of of an artists community is inspiring. And I get to add a little more beauty to the world.

In my studio, I mostly work in oil and acrylic paints.

I also find joy in sketching my surroundings. I have traveled with my sketchbook to Austria, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Mexico and around the U.S.
