Patricia Jones
Patricia Jones is an award-winning Impressionist painter in oils. Using thick paint and loose brush strokes, she portrays the energy, mood and vibrancy of everyday subjects. As she paints, she abstracts, simplifies and personalizes her perceptions to create a world slightly different from what we are used to seeing.
For the last 15 years, Patricia’s paintings have been juried into the American Art Collector’s annual art catalogue, and for
10 years in a row she had paintings juried into the “Best and Brightest” show at the Scottsdale Artists’ School, where she has won numerous awards including first place.
In 2024 she won Honorable Mention for a painting juried into Teravarna’s 10th Annual International Animal Exhibition and another Honorable Mention for a painting juried into the 3rd Annual International Nature Exhibition. In 2023 she won Honorable Mentionfor a painting at the Pacific Art League’s 102nd Anniversary Show and in 2022 one of Patricia’s paintings received the Director’s Choice award at the Triton Art Museum’s Statewide Salon Show.
Patricia has studied art extensively in workshops in France, Italy and Russia, and in classes at Stanford University, at the Scottsdale Artists’ School, the Pacific Art League and at the California Academy of Painters. Patricia is an associate member of Oil Painters of America.
In the Bay Area, Patricia’s work can be seen at Portola Art Gallery in Menlo Park, at St. Michael’s Alley in Palo Alto and at Richard Sumner Gallery in Palo Alto. Her paintings are widely collected and hang in private collections in the U.S. and in Europe. She is happy to accept commissions!
