John Sutti
John Sutti
John Sutti is a visionary artist whose environmental abstract paintings and sculptures translate his dyslexic images into vibrant, cutting-edge works of art. His current body of work, is a stunning multidimensional selection of multi media paintings and metal /wood living sculptures which organically introduce shadow and light, stillness and motion, symbol and language into the space they co-exist with.
Much of Sutti’s imagery is drawn from a subconscious lexicon of symbols based upon childhood dreams and fears. The psychology behind these dreams is rooted in his own experience growing up with dyslexia and the challenges associated with it. The works themselves are thus the resolution of these struggles and stand as elegant testaments to the power of creativity and community and how through them, the improbable is possible.
Sutti’s passion for art unites with his commitment to donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of his artwork to Chance to Excel, a nonprofit foundation that is dedicated to promoting success for youths with learning differences, such as his own dyslexia that was identified by a mentor and channeled into a successful artistic career in design.
