My work centers on the transformation of natural timber into delicately turned vessels and sculptural forms that celebrate the beauty of wood. Each piece I create represents a dialogue between my hands and the material—revealing hidden grain patterns, color variations, and organic textures within the tree. Through careful lathe work and hand-finishing, I seek to balance these natural characteristics with deliberate human intervention through form, proportion, and surface treatment.
I am drawn to woodturning as a meditative practice that connects ancient craft traditions with contemporary expression. There is something profoundly satisfying about the tactile nature of this work—feeling the wood respond to my tools, watching shavings curl away to reveal something previously unseen. In a world increasingly dominated by digital experiences, my turned objects offer a moment of pause, inviting viewers to appreciate the slow growth of trees and the patient hand of the maker.
