I’m drawn to the ‘spaces in between,’ to the points where my imagination and longings overlap with my perceptions of the world’s chaos and its beauty. As a result, my paintings move between abstraction and representation.

Whether I begin with a model, a photograph, or mark-making, the painting seems to lead me. I hope its shapes, colors, and hints of narrative will help me better understand the remarkable experience of being human.

Working primarily in oils, cold wax, and acrylics, I want to share my experience with others.
