Zdenka Bleile

Art always played major role in my life. I was born in Prague, Czech Republic, which is a cultural hub of central Europe. After taking art classes as a child, I studied art in Charles University. Among my professors was prominent Czech abstract painter Zdenek Sykora. Following move to California I got a degree in Graphic Design. But I always dreamt of going back to fine arts.

After years of painting in an impressionist style, I have fallen in love with cold wax and oil. This technique allows me to extend my repertoire to abstract realism and purely abstract works.
I feels that I can express myself on a much more personal level. Abstract art is very interactive and emotional. The pure spontaneity that comes with working abstract has allowed me to find deeper meaning within my creative process. Emotion, color and shape are the main building blocks of my expression.
