I am originally from the Pacific Northwest…only shifting to California after college. I grew up in a family that appreciated nature and the great outdoors, from biking to cross country skiing, nature was our playground. When I moved south, it took a decade or so to really appreciate the “golden beauty” of our Northern California landscape. Backpacking in the High Sierra’s and being immersed in ‘all things nature’ is what really lead me to art. Painting for me is a way to express my emotions and the awe I feel when I see an amazing sunset, ethereal misty hills peeping out over the clouds, even a puppy’s longing eyes.

I paint mostly in watercolor, but also like to try out new mediums such as gouache, pastels and even mosaics. I am constantly evolving and working on my techniques, branching out trying new methods and styles. I do commissioned work upon request. Contact me if you have any questions.
