Maxim Komissarchik

My name is Maxim Komissarchik, I’m a local Bay Area artist based in Mountain View CA. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, a place which has inspired three centuries of great artists, I was broadly exposed to its rich art tradition.
In 1989, I immigrated to US, where continued to work on my art projects while assimilating the new experience living in America.
I work with variety of objects such as portraits, still life’s and landscapes using oil, acrylic and watercolors mediums.
I also prefer vivid bright colors and bold brush strokes which help me to convey my perception of surrounding world to the viewers. My style aren’t fully realistic, but rather be called some kind of expressive impressionism. My creative process is very intuitive and unpredictable, which makes my paintings an exciting adventure for both viewer and myself.
