As a child, I was captivated by fairy stories in which small creatures live extraordinary lives within our own world, but are invisible to us. Imagine a magical realm in which the tiniest of animals live wholly independent and heroic lives. I create these mice with the tools of my theater costumer’s trade: fabric, thread, needle and props. When things go bump in the night, dismiss the real-life worries of intruders or vermin, and visit the world in miniature that my mice inhabit.
