Martin Cavanaugh

I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember and lived in art classes through my school career until I managed to put my hundreds of units together to earn a BA in Anthropology. I have drifted between Oil Painting and Colored Pencil portraiture until a multi year hiatus where I spent all my time in progression as a UPS driver. But I finally got back into Oil Painting a couple years ago and have covered all the walls in our house with canvases mostly focused on portraits but with the occasional landscape painting, and recently a smattering of Gouache paintings tapped to any available window.

I haven’t really shown anything outside of the San Mateo County Fair art shows and those have been many years ago but I am excited to see how my artwork is viewed. While I took many figurative live drawing art classes in junior college I am a mostly self taught painter.
