I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved collecting small shiny objects, especially from the beach, stringing beads, knotting macramé, and embroidering clothing. Growing up on the coast of California, I developed into a person passionate about color, creating adornment with a coastal sensibility.
As a student at California State University Long Beach in the late 1970s, I studied art and textile design along with art history and painting, enriching my path as an artist and illuminating the development of my aesthetic.
I’ve spent all of my life living on the coast of California. The beauty of nature, the sea, and the sky are a kaleidoscope of inspiration. For more than 30 years I have been designing jewelry and creating unique pieces inspired by the remarkable women who are my clients.
We wear jewelry as one of many ways to express ourselves. Wearing pieces that you or a loved one selected for you makes us feel our beauty and power. Personal adornment demonstrates our inner light, giving voice to how we feel and wish to be seen. My jewelry reflects what makes living worthwhile: friendship, sisterhood, playfulness, and love.
