Affirming Change was painted as the year 2020 drastically changed. On one hand we can see ourselves standing alone and frozen in time in darkness as the mind wanders as this dramatic colorful sky and see the chaos or we can see it as a renewal for change and affirmation. Acrylic paint on canvas.
After The Storm is depicted here. A great sense of exhaling and knowing the crisp air and fierce change is coming. A sense of peaceful excitement and knowing it was all worth it. It can be personal or broader than that... When the storm clears, so does our view and perspective. A wonder, exhilaration and curiosity with clarity happens. Acrylic paint on canvas.
the fall in Teton National Park in Jackson Hole is one of my favorite places and time to paint. The Aspen trees dance with golden light and it is a spectacular site to see.
I've gone to Monhegan Island, off the coast of Maine, two times. It is a very small island with access only by passenger ferry, and has long been a mecca for painters. I created this studio piece from photo references taken last June. I produced 10 plein air paintings during the week, unencumbered and there alone with my painting supplies. It was a week of perfect weather and amazing sunsets
Handlettering into a grid with brush and acrylic paint, a favorite poem. "Clouds, a chance to dodge moon viewing." by Matsuo Basho.
I painted a similar scene at the Carmel Art Festival and I wanted to paint a larger work to explore the serene beauty of the coast. This piece captures the idyllic feeling of walking on the beach, with the dynamic energy of the clouds overhead.
Acrylic metallic paint and medium gel. This painting represents our spiritual vibration found in every human being. No matter the color variation, the spiritual vibration and blood flow within all of us is the same Dynamic and Glorious.

We took a road trip to visit family in Portland, OR, and stopped overnight in Crescent City, CA. This was the view at 7am from our balcony. I did a small plein air piece (also available) and then painted this one in the studio. It is presented in a pecan wood floater frame.
I love getting lost in Venice when its raining and the streets are empty, thats when I got the inspiration for this piece.
