Lucey Bowen-Assemblage/Collage
Lucey Bowen
This year I will be continuing my Fantastical Geology series; exploring a square-format inspired by Hermes scarves; adding portraiture and historical commentary to my subject matter. I use painting, drawing, collage and found and up-cycled materials to create two and three dimensional objects. My work is both personal and global, reflecting my travels and residencies around the world. Recipient of a BA in Art History from Vassar College, a MA in Anthropology from University of Pennsylvania, I later studied with Sally Bishop at the Worcester Art Museum School, and with Bay Area Chinese Brush painters Yu Chun-Hui and Ming Ren.
