As an artist my days are filtered through a series of delicate observations. Time presses onward, leaving evidence of its passage, illustrated through the shape of all things.

Moving across a painting surface I explore themes of flatness, transparency, intuitive gesture and direction.
Layering of paint and the variation of its application represent the differences we see across the landscape of everyday life.

Since relocating to the California Coast my attention has been filled with observances of another sort.
Redirected towards nature – textures, light and their constant movement, my focus has changed, seeking how to gather this visual energy as I change place, as an abstract painter.
