Driftwood Birds
Each clay bird is hand-formed, glazed with multiple glazes, and fired to create unique patterns and colors. Their little "faces" are created by painting on an Engobe glaze before bisque firing. Many have gold accents and are attached to driftwood that I collect at Half Moon Bay and north coast beaches. I create candle holders and menorahs using the same technique.

Gigi Luke
I have always been an artist at heart, inspired by the natural beauty of the Sierra Foothills where I grew up. After years in a corporate career, I rediscovered my creative path during the pandemic through pottery, captivated by the transformative nature of clay. My signature Intention Birds™ are hand-formed, glazed, and stamped with meaningful words, while my Driftwood Birds blend the organic and man-made, perched on driftwood gathered from local beaches. Inspired by my travels and natural landscapes, I aim to create pieces that evoke joy, connection, and an appreciation for life’s beauty. I share my passion through workshops and am honored to see my work cherished by collectors across the Bay Area and beyond.
