I am a sculptor working with additive and subtractive to create wearable art. I fuse multiple layers of silver and gold in various shapes, textures and patterns creating a collage. Flame can be volatile it can destroy as easily as it creates. When metal is molten it has a mind of its own learning how to manipulate it is always challenging and rewarding. From this diverse arrangement I move forward in the developmental process by incorporating forming, raising, grinding, patinas and polishing techniques. The use of stones is an integral part of each piece. They are used as much to draw you into the story as for their beauty. Many of the stones I collected over a 30 year period of time. They hold the history of people and places.
