Cynthia Darling

Cynthia Lee Darling is a San Francisco scientist, painter and jeweler. Her research career in science has recently shifted to painting since the shelter in place began in March 2020. The coronavirus pandemic has pushed her to really become innovative and experimental with her painting style. Inspired by her love of geometry from her minor in math, she paints shapes and lines to create memorizing patterns. She loves the process of painting and forming an image from a blank canvas. She is fascinated by the challenge of aligning shapes, lines, and colors to create an interesting composition. Her work is currently shown at the San Francisco Women Artists, ArtSpan, Sanchez Art Center and the Art Guild of Pacific.
