Gray Whale Cove I
Half Moon Bay has some of the most majestic ocean views in Northern California. This photograph brings to life the unique dance between the sun and the ocean waves on a clear spring day. My feeling as the photographer for this particular scenery is to take you there so you can experience it as if you were actually there in that moment.

I’ve been on a lifelong journey, exploration and pursuit to capture nature, the ocean, architecture, objects, places of interest & people through the medium of fine art and abstract photography. As I have continued this journey, I’ve focused my efforts to bring to life what one experiences day to day in our unique world through my photography work.
Photography has a rich tradition and history dating back to ancient times. The forerunner of the camera was the camera obscura, a dark chamber or room with a hole (later a lens) in one wall, through which images of objects outside the room were projected on the opposite wall. The principle and application were known to the ancient Greeks such as Aristotle more than 2,000 years ago. Late in the 16th century, the Italian scientist and writer Giambattista della Porta demonstrated and described in detail the use of the camera obscura with a lens.
In consideration of the above perspectives of photography’s history, I focus my energy while photographing to allow the viewer to experience a particular moment in time & space in it’s most natural state. If it wasn’t for the existence of the camera & photography itself as a medium, I wouldn’t be here to tell you a story through my work & images.
I’m a 5th year member with the ‘Art Guild of Pacifica’ and participate in our many themed shows throughout the calendar year at our Sanchez Art Center galleries in majestic & beautiful Pacifica, California.
