High Stepping Courtship
This painting is an original image painted in Oils on Canvas. I was inspired to paint these Blue Footed Boobies when I saw them in the Galapagos Islands. The male was flapping his foot at the female to show her what a good fisher bird he was. Their feet are blue because of the fish they eat. In a courtship dance he wanted her to see his very blue beautiful feet to prove he would be a good provider. She would eventually join him in the foot flapping if she decided he was worthy.
