Lyrical coil Ballerina 18b
When I experienced my first spring in California it was magical and surreal. For someone migrating from a desert, seeing a bare tree blooming to white can be unbelievable. It can be a heavenly site. A ballerina dancing gracefully among cherry blossom trees symbolizes the state of my joyful mind. Her arms stretched upward, and her cubic but flowing gown trails behind, mirroring the serene landscape within me.

My Cubist artworks are an offshoot of her Civil Engineering background. “ I tend to build my subjects the way I am trained to analyze a structure. I build my subjects component by component". It is a play of rhythmic movements and simplification of geometric forms.
My geometric subjects are immersed in music, dance and meditation. Constraints free and seeking a higher conscious level as if in trance.
