Belinda Lima
I am a mixed media artist living and working in the Bay Area, California where I have a studio at The Alameda Artworks, San Jose.
My paintings are largely abstract depicting urban life, skylines and structures. I am also drawn to and paint the female figure. I enjoy working with collage and acrylic paints as well as oil and cold wax.
My goal is to capture the essence or emotion of a city or figure using minimalism, abstraction, color and texture.
I am an award winning artist and have been accepted into National and Statewide exhibits including the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, The California Watercolor Association, The International Society of Acrylic Painters, The Left Coast Juried Exhibition 2022 and The San Diego Museum of Art Artists’ Guild Online exhibition 2023.
In 2021 one of my paintings was awarded Best of Show at the UArt Open by George Rivera.
In 2023 my painting “City by the Bay” was one of 54 selected from 5000 entries and was awarded an honorable mention by juror Anita Rogers from the Anita Rogers Gallery, New York.
