This acrylic artwork was inspired by Richter’s blurring technique, abstracting and universalizing the image. Rather than depicting a specific individual, it portrays a figure with universal characteristics, allowing anyone to recall their childhood and family, fostering a shared experience.

Joohyun Ha
My name is Joohyun Ha and I’m an artist based in SF bay area. After graduating with a master’s degree in educational psychology in Leuven, I continued my career as an educator. After I settled in the United States, I embarked on my career as an artist. I studied painting at the community college and now I’m working as an instructor in a studio. For me, there’s nothing quite as rewarding as spreading happiness through sharing experiences of art.
