Power of Music
"The Power of Music" is a layered wood piece that explores the dualities of music and how it affects us… how music simultaneously emanates outward while penetrating inward… how it is private and intimate, or shared and communal… how it can define a moment or dredge up the past… how it can be mundane and subtle or intensely spiritual. Through music, we find connection with ourselves and with others, breaking down superficial boundaries and reveling together.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist, sculptor, and creative problem solver who conjures art from everyday experiences – scrap metal morphs into city sculptures, outdoor embellishments whisper community stories, and layered wood fossilizes my passions, concerns, and bizarre curiosities.
I’ve cast metals, exhibited ceramics, concocted conceptual art puzzles, collaborated on interactive art for Burning Man, and I enjoy sneaking creative surprises into every corner of life. Hyper-local quirks, conceptual enigmas, and our vast, amazing universe fuel my art.
I’m currently weaving two tales. "Multi-layered" is a body of work that fuses environmental anxieties, local lore, and whimsical wonder into layered wood wall sculpture. "Questioning Cities" is a series, sculpted entirely from cast-off parts of our cities intended to make us think about our collective impact. In all of my work, I strive for intricate, aesthetically pleasing, relatable pieces which have faceted stories for viewers to discover, reflect on, and share.
