Red Poppy on Purissima
This bloom was spotted on a walk-through downtown Half Moon Bay, a spot of bright red on a dreary "June gloom" day. What catches my eye is what inspires me. This work is acrylic on canvas. $60.00

I am an avid beachcomber, out on the coast almost every day. Sea glass – trash that has been transformed into gems – is a prize. I research and write about my finds, make jewelry from them, and I paint. I take the beauty of our California coast, its native flora and fauna, and interpret it on canvas. Sea glass provides inspiration for my art – making mixed media pieces that use the glass as both an accent and focus to my creations, along with watercolor, acrylics, spray, and oil paint.
The ocean and coast are my passion, and I want to share it.
My work can currently be found at the Sanchez Center in Pacifica, as a part of the Art Guild of Pacifica, at the Ocean Blue Art Vault and at the Coastal Art League. Both Ocean Blue and the Coastal Art League are located on Main Street, in my town of Half Moon Bay.
