Spring on the Coast

My personal inspiration is to create the most striking image that excites me on a personal level! I hope the viewer takes away their own reactions and a meaningful connection with my photography.

I specialize in travel and beautiful locations, seascapes & landscapes, the natural world, and urban environments. I prefer vibrant color, bold graphic statements for impact. I use the best light that directs the viewer’s interest to the subject.

My photo style represents the subject realistically, directing the attention to the composition in a straightforward way. I also create imaginative interpretations of the original image, with creativity, during the editing process. It helps me to approach the composition using a variety of in-camera techniques, or editing process to express my vision.

I show my artwork at the Ocean Blue Art Vault gallery in Half Moon Bay. I’m a member of Coastal Art League Gallery (HMB). I’m also a member of Arts of Bear Valley in Calaveras County – Western Sierra’s. I participate in art events and art exhibits.

This will be the 4th year I will participate in two Silicon Valley Open Studio events. I’m an active Peninsula Camera Club member, enjoy judged photography competition, and board leadership. I’m responsible for club photo education, including the annual education speaker series, held six times a year.

Photography continues to challenge and excite my creative side! I am grateful to explore the world, plus there is always something new to learn with either the subject I am shooting or the stylistic and technical skills of the vision.

Barbara Masek Photography is also a commercial photography service business since 2010. I work with business and individual clients in head & portrait, event, and promotion assignments.

The natural surroundings and local Half Moon Bay coastal community enrich me, but I also have the joy to enjoy Calaveras County, Western Sierra’s during all seasons. The beauty of the redwoods, Stanislaus River, the mountains, the warm spirited neighbors and community draw me in to provide lots of photography inspiration.
