Steward of the Coast
In late springearly summer goats are brought to the coast for the land management of vacant fields – providing an effective way to keep grasses down. I stopped one afternoon to watch them, in a field that once was an old homesite. The house long-gone, roses that once were in the front yard now blooming profusely, to the delight of the goats and me. Acrylic on canvas. $325.00

I am an avid beachcomber, out on the coast almost every day. Sea glass – trash that has been transformed into gems – is a prize. I research and write about my finds, make jewelry from them, and I paint. I take the beauty of our California coast, its native flora and fauna, and interpret it on canvas. Sea glass provides inspiration for my art – making mixed media pieces that use the glass as both an accent and focus to my creations, along with watercolor, acrylics, spray, and oil paint.
The ocean and coast are my passion, and I want to share it.
My work can currently be found at the Sanchez Center in Pacifica, as a part of the Art Guild of Pacifica, at the Ocean Blue Art Vault and at the Coastal Art League. Both Ocean Blue and the Coastal Art League are located on Main Street, in my town of Half Moon Bay.
