My art is an exploration of materials and emotion. It changes depending on the mood I’m in and what’s happening around me. Currently, my main focus is painting, although more and more, I am driven to work 3-D, using up cycled materials like textile and wood scraps and other found objects. I’ve been exploring small wall sculptures and paintings on shaped panels. No matter what medium I’m using, I don’t usually plan a piece.

My work lives somewhere between chaos and order. I usually start out with wild, muscular, sometimes angsty energy. Gradually, I aim to reach a state where the work (and I) feel calm, resolved.
