Annie Haines

California Bay Area artist Annie Haines strives to connect people to the energy of the natural environment through her work. Painting outdoors and spending time deeply looking at her subjects helps ground her to the bounteous and tenacious vitality of the landscape. She composes and abstracts what she experiences, expressing herself through value, shape, line and color in paint. She finds ample subjects in the abundant variety of habitats and historic sites of the Bay Area.
Annie paints with several local plein air groups including the Los Gatos Art Association, the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society and the Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters. She has participated in several of the area’s plein air competitions including Capitola Plein Air and the Frank Bette Plein Air Paintout. Annie’s award winning work has been exhibited nationally and abroad and is held in private collections in many areas of the world. She is currently represented by Viewpoints Gallery in Los Altos, California.
