Kathleen Miller
Kathleen Miller
Kathleen is a behavioral scientist, artist, writer, educator, and the owner of Create4Wellbeing in Silicon Valley where she researches, designs, and teaches therapeutic expressive art practices as a way to support healing and self-discovery.
Raised by two artists, Kathleen has been making art her entire life. While she always knew she wanted to be an artist, she also felt a predilection for social work and the study of wisdom traditions. In time she found that her three vocations quite naturally complimented and enhanced each other. In her work as a mixed-media artist, Kathleen explores the impact that human actions, habits, beliefs, personal stories and collective mythologies have on the psychological health of individuals and societies. She seeks to destigmatize mental health issues and pushes for better access to care for all. Some of her interactive pieces are designed to show how art itself can change the way we feel and even be used as a touchstone for personal and planetary healing.
