I have been a maker for most of my life. As a high school art teacher, I experimented with a number of different media including weaving, fabric design, photography, jewelry design and ceramics.Since my retirement, most of my time is spent making jewelry. I work with silver, gold, copper and bronze, incorporating beautiful stones in my work. Enameling is one of my favorite things to do. I am inspired by nature and the environment as well as art, architecture and ancient artifacts. And as much as I love shiny metals, sparkly and colorful stones and interesting textures, I am mostly drawn to the process of turning raw materials into artful adornments that reflect my connection to nature and art around me.
